What is the basic structure of the vacuum booster?
The vacuum booster is fixed in front of the foot brake pedal under the cab dashboard, and the pedal push rod is connected to the brake pedal lever. The rear end is connected with the brake master cylinder by bolts, and the push rod in the center of the vacuum booster is jacked on the first piston rod of the brake master cylinder. Therefore, the vacuum booster acts as a booster between the brake pedal and the brake master cylinder.
In the vacuum booster, the air chamber is divided into the front chamber of the force chamber and the back chamber of the force chamber by the diaphragm seat. The front chamber is communicated with the intake pipe through the pipe joint, and the power is generated by the suction effect of the vacuum degree of the engine intake pipe during braking. The front end of the diaphragm seat is connected with a rubber reaction disc and the pedal push rod. The elasticity of the rubber reaction disc is equivalent to the foot pressure. The rear of the rubber reaction disc is equipped with an air valve, the opening of the air valve is equivalent to the elasticity of the rubber reaction disc, that is, the foot pedal force. On the contrary, the pedal force is small, and the vacuum booster effect is small. When the engine is turned off or the vacuum tube is leaking, the vacuum booster does not help, the pedal push rod directly pushes the diaphragm seat and the push rod through the air valve, and directly acts on the first piston rod of the brake master cylinder, resulting in the braking effect, because there is no power at this time, the braking force is generated by the pedal pressure. When the engine is working, the vacuum booster works. When braking, step down the brake pedal, push the pedal push rod and air valve forward, compress the rubber reaction disc, eliminate the clearance, push the push rod forward, so that the brake master cylinder pressure rises and transmits to each brake, and the action force is given by the driver; At the same time, the vacuum valve and the air valve work, and the air enters the B chamber and pushes the diaphragm seat forward to produce a power effect. The power is determined by the vacuum degree of the intake pipe and the air pressure difference. When strong braking, the pedal force can directly act on the pedal push rod and pass to the push rod, the vacuum power and the pedal force work at the same time, and the brake master cylinder pressure is strongly established. When strong braking is maintained, the pedal can stay in a certain position under the step, and the vacuum power works to maintain the braking effect. When the brake is released, the brake pedal is relaxed, the vacuum booster returns to its original position, and waits for the next brake to arrive.
