What is the composition of car disc brake?
The thickness of brake disc has influence on the quality of brake disc and the temperature rise during operation. In order to make the mass smaller, the thickness of the brake disc should not be large; In order to reduce the temperature, the thickness of the brake disc is not easy to get too small. The brake disc can be made of solid, or in order to heat ventilation needs in the middle of the brake disc cast air holes.
The friction liner refers to the friction material pushed by the clamp piston on the brake disc. The friction liner is divided into a friction material and a base plate, which are directly embedded together. The ratio of the outer radius of the friction liner to the inner radius and the recommended outer radius to the inner radius of the friction liner should not be greater than 1.5. If the ratio is too large, the braking torque will eventually change greatly.
Working principle of disc brake
During braking, the oil is pressed into the inner and outer cylinders, and the piston presses the two brake blocks into the brake disc under the action of hydraulic pressure, resulting in friction torque and braking. At this time, the edge of the rectangular rubber seal ring in the wheel cylinder groove produces a small amount of elastic deformation under the action of piston friction. When braking is relaxed, the piston and brake block rely on the elasticity of the seal ring and the elasticity of the spring.
Because the rectangular sealing ring edge deformation is very small, in the absence of braking, the gap between the friction plate and the disc is only about 0.1mm on each side, which is enough to ensure the release of the brake. When the brake disc is heated and expanded, its thickness only changes slightly, so it does not occur "holding" phenomenon.
How to adjust the disc parking brake?
Loosen the adjusting screw and the lock nut on the pull rod, tighten the adjusting screw and the ball nut on the pull rod, and make the shoe contact with the brake disc.
② Remove the transmission lever of the parking brake (the transmission lever and the pull arm are removed).
③ Loosen the ball nut, so that the shoe leaves the brake disc, and then adjust the adjustment screw, so that the shoe and the brake disc to maintain a uniform minimum gap, in the case of maintaining the gap to tighten the lock nut.
(4) Relax the parking brake operating lever to the front limit position, adjust the length of the transmission lever, connect the transmission lever to the shoe control pull arm, and tighten the lock nut while maintaining the above clearance.
⑤ Carefully check the installation of cotter pins and nuts.
When the pawl on the joystick moves 3-5 teeth on the mountain gear plate, it should be able to completely brake.
