Valve chamber cover gasket is mainly used to seal to prevent oil leakage.
Because the material of the valve chamber cover pad is mostly rubber, it is inevitable that aging and hardening will occur over a long time, so there will be oil leakage.
Valve chamber cover damage phenomenon:
1. After the valve chamber cover pad leaks oil, you can see a lot of traces of engine oil on the top of the engine near the side. This is mainly due to two causes;
2. First, the valve chamber cover pad is indeed aging and embrittlements, losing the sealing ability and affecting the oil leakage. I think this situation is OK, just open the valve chamber cover and replace the sealing pad.
3, the second is that the PCV valve of the crankcase ventilation system is blocked, resulting in too high pressure in the machine, which ultimately affects the engine oil seepage under pressure. If this problem is not found, it will lead to greater trouble, such as crankshaft oil seal oil leakage and so on;
Oil leakage is generally difficult to prevent in advance, the main reason for oil leakage is generally caused by the aging of the engine gasket, which requires the owner to pay attention to, generally 3-4 years of the car is not a particularly serious oil leakage phenomenon, may be most of the oil leakage phenomenon, if the car chassis is found to have dripping oil phenomenon, it means that the oil leakage situation has been very serious.
General oil leakage phenomenon is not easy to be found by the owner, in fact, every time the owner goes to the car wash, open the front cover to simply check the engine, if the engine is found in which part of the mud, it indicates that there may be oil leakage in this place.
