Body structure

Non-bearing body
The car with non-bearing body has a rigid frame, also known as the chassis beam frame. The connection between the frame and the body is flexibly connected by springs or rubber pads. The disadvantage is that the frame quality is large, the car's center of mass is high, it is inconvenient to get on and off, the frame manufacturing workload is large, the process accuracy is high, and large equipment needs to be used to increase investment.
Load-bearing body
The car with the load-bearing body has no rigid frame, but only strengthens the front, side wall, rear, bottom plate and other parts, the engine, front and rear suspension, a part of the drive train and other assembly parts are assembled in the position required by the design of the car body, and the body load is passed to the wheel through the suspension device. In addition to its inherent loading function, this kind of load-bearing body also directly bears the action of various load forces. After decades of development and improvement, the load-bearing body has been greatly improved in both safety and stability, with small quality, low height, no suspension device, easy assembly and other advantages, so most of the car adopts this body structure.
Its advantages are that it has a high anti-bending and anti-torsional stiffness, its own weight is light, and it can use the space in the passenger car more effectively.
The disadvantage is that because the drive train and suspension are directly installed on the body, the road load and vibration are directly transmitted to the body, so effective sound insulation and vibration prevention measures must be taken, and it is difficult to repair the body when it is damaged, and the corrosion prevention requirements of the body are high.
Semi-bearing body
The body and frame are rigidly connected by screw connection, riveting or welding. In this case, in addition to bearing the above loads, the car body also helps to strengthen the frame to a certain extent and share part of the load of the frame.
