What are the control methods of the thermostat?
There are two main control methods of the thermostat: ON/OFF control and PID control.
1.ON/OFF control is a simple control mode, which has only two states: ON and OFF. When the set temperature is lower than the target temperature, the thermostat will output ON signal to start heating; When the set temperature is higher than the target temperature, the thermostat will output OFF signal to stop heating. Although this control method is simple, the temperature will fluctuate around the target value and cannot be stabilized at the set value. Therefore, it is suitable for occasions where the control accuracy is not required.
2.PID control is a more advanced control method. It combines the advantages of proportional control, integral control and differential control, and adjusts and optimizes according to actual needs. By integrating proportional, integral, and differential controls, PID controllers can respond more quickly to temperature changes, automatically correct for deviations, and provide better steady-state performance. Therefore, PID control has been widely used in many industrial control systems.
There are many ways to output a thermostat, mainly depending on its control environment and the characteristics of the desired control equipment. The following are some commonly used thermostat output methods:
Voltage output: This is one of the most common output ways to control the working state of the device by adjusting the amplitude of the voltage signal. In general, 0V indicates that the control signal is turned off, while 10V or 5V indicates that the control signal is fully turned on, at which point the controlled device begins to work. This output mode is suitable for controlling motors, fans, lights and other devices that require progressive control.
Relay output: Through the relay on and off switch signal to output temperature control. This method is often used for direct control of loads less than 5A, or direct control of contactors and intermediate relays, and external control of high-power loads through contactors.
Solid state relay drive voltage output: Drive solid state relay output by output voltage signal.
Solid state relay drives voltage output.
In addition, there are some other output methods, such as thyristor phase shift trigger control output, thyristor zero trigger output and continuous voltage or current signal output. These output modes are suitable for different control environments and device requirements.
