What is the use of clutch release bearings
What is the separation bearing:
The so-called separation bearing is the bearing used between the clutch and the transmission, which is usually called "clutch separation bearing". When stepping on the clutch, if the fork is combined with the clutch pressure plate in high-speed rotation, a bearing must be required to eliminate the heat and resistance generated by direct friction, so the bearing installed in this position is called the separation bearing. The separation bearing pushes the disc away from the friction plate and cuts off the power output of the crankshaft.
Performance requirements for clutch release bearing:
Separation bearing movement should be flexible, no sharp sound or stuck phenomenon, its axial clearance shall not exceed 0.60mm, the inner seat ring wear shall not exceed 0.30mm.
The working principle and function of clutch release bearing:
The so-called clutch, as the name suggests, is to use "off" and "together" to transmit the right amount of power. The engine is always spinning, the wheels are not. To stop a vehicle without damaging the engine, the wheels need to be disconnected from the engine in some way. By controlling the slip between the engine and the transmission, the clutch allows us to easily connect the rotating engine to the non-rotating transmission.
The clutch release bearing is installed between the clutch and the transmission, and the release bearing seat is loosely set on the tubular extension of the bearing cover of the first shaft of the transmission, and the shoulder of the release bearing is always pressed against the separation fork through the return spring, and is returned to the last position, and the separation lever end (separation finger) maintains a clearance of about 3~4mm.
Since the clutch pressure plate, the separation lever and the engine crankshaft run in sync, and the separation fork can only move along the clutch output shaft axial, it is obviously not possible to use the separation fork to dial the separation lever directly, through the separation bearing can make the separation lever rotate one side along the clutch output shaft axial movement, so as to ensure that the clutch can engage smoothly, the separation is soft, and the wear is reduced. Extend the service life of the clutch and the entire drive train.
Key points to note when using clutch release bearing:
1, according to the operation regulations, avoid the clutch to appear in the state of half engagement and half separation, reduce the number of clutch use.
2, pay attention to maintenance, regular or annual inspection and maintenance, with cooking method to soak the butter, so that it has sufficient lubricant.
3. Pay attention to leveling the clutch release lever to ensure that the elasticity of the return spring meets the requirements.
4, adjust the free travel, so that it meets the requirements (30-40mm), to prevent the free travel is too large or too small.
5, as far as possible to reduce the number of joint, separation, reduce the impact load.
6, lightly step on, easily, so that it is smoothly engaged and separated.
