Classification and function
There are two kinds of corner lights for cars.
One is a lamp that provides auxiliary lighting for the corner of the road near the front where the vehicle is about to turn, which is installed on both sides of the longitudinal symmetrical plane of the vehicle. The domestic and foreign standard regulations of this corner lamp are: Chinese standard GB/T 30511-2014 "Automotive corner light distribution performance", EU regulations ECE R119 "Uniform regulations on Automotive corner light certification", American Society of Automotive engineers regulations SAE J852 "Front corner lights for motor vehicles".
The other is a lamp that provides auxiliary lighting for the side or back of the vehicle when the vehicle is about to reverse or slow down, and is installed on the side, back or downward of the vehicle.
The standard regulations of this corner lamp at home and abroad are: ECE R23 "Uniform regulations on the certification of motor vehicles and trailer reversing lights", SAE J1373 "rear corner lights of automobiles less than 9.1m in length", ECE R23 will call this corner light slow running lights.
The rear taillight is a lamp installed in the rear of the vehicle, which is used to indicate that there is a car in front of the rear car, showing the position relationship between the two workshops. It usually includes a variety of functional lights such as turn signals, brake lights, position lights, rear fog lights, reverse lights and parking lights. The design and installation of the rear taillights follow specific safety regulations and standards, such as the Japanese safety regulations are the same as the European standard ECE7, and the luminous intensity near the center is 4 to 12 cd, and the light color is red. These lamps and bulbs involve many disciplines such as optics, materials science, and structural science, and are characterized by the symmetrical design of turn signals and brake lights to ensure that there is a car in front of the rear car effectively when driving at night, and show the position relationship between the two workshops, so as to improve driving safety.
Why are the back corner lights on and off?
There are 6 reasons why the rear corner light is on and not on:
1, optical relay damage: If the flash relay on the side of the car is damaged, it will lead to the light bulb on the side of the car is not bright, solution: replace the flash relay.
2, the light bulb burned out: may be the side of the taillight light burned out, the fuse of the light bulb burned off, solution: replace the light bulb on the side of the taillight.
3, the line burned out: may not be bright that the taillight line burned out, solution: go to the 4S shop to check the taillight line, if it is indeed the taillight line damaged, need to be replaced.
4, the lamp power does not match: if the lamp of the taillight has been replaced before, it may be that the power of the newly installed lamp does not match the vehicle, the solution: replace the lamp that matches the vehicle power.
5, the fuse is burnt out: when the headlight is turned on the instantaneous current is too large, the original car headlight line has a problem or the headlight has a short circuit, resulting in the headlight fuse burnt out, the taillight is not bright, the solution: replace the burnt fuse.
6, bad iron: bad iron will seriously affect the light out of control, taillights can not work normally, solution: go to the 4S shop for inspection and maintenance.
