The engine cover shall be installed in the reverse order of removal. Before the fixing bolts of the engine cover and hinge are tightened, the engine cover can be adjusted from front to back, or the hinge gasket and buffer rubber can be adjusted up and down to make the gap match evenly.
Adjustment of engine cover lock control mechanism
Before adjusting the engine cover lock, the engine cover must be corrected properly, then loosen the fixing bolt, move the lock head back and forth, left and right, so that it is aligned with the lock seat, the front of the engine cover can also be adjusted by the height of the dovetail bolt of the lock head.
What should I do if I can't open the cover of the car
The reasons why the car cover cannot be opened may include breaking of the cable, damage to the lock itself or stuck. Solutions to these problems include:
If the cable breaks from the handle, you can try to hold the broken cable with pliers, and have someone press the cover from the outside to pull the cable.
If the cable breaks in the middle, you can manually locate and pull the cover cable by removing the left front tire and leaf liner.
Use a screwdriver to insert the lock hole, side pick the lock to try to open the cover, but be careful not to extend it too long to avoid damaging the condenser.
