(1) Door body protection plate
The lower body of the door guard plate, usually used as the frame of the door guard plate, connects and installs other parts of the door guard plate assembly, and is designed with the main installation positioning structure of the door inner plate sheet metal. Usually molded by injection molding, it requires sufficient stiffness and strength to maintain the shape of the door guard assembly. Installation points should be evenly distributed. The upper guard plate is usually divided into hard and soft.
(1) Hard upper protection plate is usually used by injection molding process. (If there is no special requirements for modeling, color separation and materials, it can also be made into a whole with the door guard).
(2) The soft upper protection plate is usually composed of a skin (knitted fabric, leather or leather), foam layer and skeleton. The process of the skin can be positive vacuum forming or manual coating, and middle and high-end cars with higher appearance requirements such as skin lines and rounded corners are usually slush or negative mold vacuum forming.

The panel is used to provide elbow reclining and is more soft. The layered structure consists of (knitted fabric, leather or leather), foam layer and skeleton. The skin of the panel is usually hand-coated, but there are also hot pressing and vacuum adsorption. The use of special processes can achieve special effects, such as leather creasing, adding sewing threads, etc. The skeleton of the panel is mostly made of injection molding or hot pressing process, among which the hot pressing wood powder board or hemp fiber board is cheap and lightweight, and is widely used in Japanese cars.

The form of handrail can be divided into integral handrail and separate type.
Integrated handrails are generally formed together with switch panels or inlay panels. This form of handrails is simple and compact in shape, cheap in cost, simple and reliable in installation, and is generally preferred.
Separated handrail, generally due to modeling needs, the handrail is separated from the body or the panel. In this way, high installation reliability is required, and the cost is relatively increased.
(4) Map board
The storage space in the lower part of the door guard plate is usually called the map bag, which is a typical map bag and its structural form. In recent years, new types of foldable map bags have appeared. The folding map bag can meet the requirements of storage (the map bag can be opened, more things can be placed, and it is more convenient to take things), and it can meet the requirements of seat adjustment ergonomics.
