Working principle
If the left and right wheels jump up and down at the same time, that is, the body only makes vertical movement and the suspension deformation on both sides is equal, the transverse stabilizer bar in the bushing free rotation, the transverse stabilizer bar does not work.
When both sides of the suspension deformation is not equal to the body for the road lateral tilt, the side of the frame moves close to the spring support, the side of the stabilizer bar is relative to the frame to move up, and the other side of the frame away from the bullet arrow support, the corresponding stabilizer bar is relative to the frame to move down, but in the body and frame tilt, the middle of the transverse stabilizer bar on the dry frame # no relative movement. In this way, when the body tilts, the longitudinal part of the stabilizer bar on both sides deflects in different directions, so the stabilizer bar is twisted, and the side arm is bent to increase the Angle stiffness of the suspension.
The internal torque generated by the elastic stabilizer bar prevents the deformation of the frame projectile, thus reducing the lateral tilt and lateral vibration of the body. Both ends of the rod arm in the same direction of the jumping transverse stabilizer bar does not work, when the left and right wheel reverse beat, the middle part of the transverse stabilizer bar by torsion
If the vehicle side Angle stiffness is low, the body side Angle is too large, the lateral stabilizer bar should be used to increase the vehicle side Angle stiffness. Lateral stabilizer bars can be installed separately or simultaneously on the front and rear suspension as required. When designing the transverse stabilizer bar, in addition to considering the total roll Angle stiffness of the vehicle, the ratio of roll Angle stiffness of the front and rear suspension should also be considered. In order to make the car have under-steering characteristics, the front suspension should be slightly larger than the rear suspension of the side Angle stiffness. Therefore, more models are installed in the front suspension lateral stabilizer bar.
Generally, materials are selected according to the design stress of the transverse stabilizer bar. At present, 60Si2MnA materials are used more in China. For the use of higher stress lateral stabilizer bar, Japan recommends the use of Cr-Mn-B steel (SUP9, SuP9A), the stress is not high stabilizer bar with carbon steel (S48C). In order to improve the service life of the transverse stabilizer bar, shot blasting should be carried out.
In order to reduce the mass, some transverse stabilizer bars are made of hollow round pipe, and the ratio of steel pipe wall thickness and outside diameter is about 0.125. At this time, the outside diameter of the solid rod is increased by 11.8%, but the mass can be reduced by about 50%.
