What is the principle of an oil level gauge
The principle of oil level meter is mainly based on the change of physical or electronic signal caused by the change of oil level to detect and display oil level. Here is how several common oil level gauges work:
transformer oil level gauge : This type of oil level gauge is usually installed on the top of the tank of the transformer and connected to the inside of the tank by a connecting pipe. When the oil level in the tank changes, the oil level in the connecting pipe will also change, which will drive the indicating part of the oil level meter to shift accordingly, so as to display the current oil level height on the outside.
Tubular oil level gauge : composed of seamless steel pipe, buoy indicating device, window and upper cover or pressure valve. The window adopts the thick wall glass tube structure, which can display the specific oil level within 30mm under the cover of the box, and the oil level display is true, accurate and without false oil level phenomenon.
oil level sensor : The position (height) of oil in the container is detected by the change of capacitance between the sensor shell and the induction electrode caused by oil entering the container, which is converted into current change. This sensor is widely used in the need to accurately measure the oil level, its detection range is 0.05-5 meters, the accuracy can reach 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, pressure range is -0.1MPa-32mpa.
pointer type oil level gauge : through the connecting rod the oil surface up and down line displacement into angular displacement signal, so that the pointer rotates, indirectly display the oil level. This type of oil level gauge is often used where a visual display of the oil level is required.
