How do I take out the MAXUS G10 crankshaft?
To take out the crankshaft of the MAXUS G10, remove the engine and place it on the workbench. Then release the main bearing cover bolt evenly and symmetrically several times from both sides to the center. Using the removed main bearing cover bolt, pry back and forth and remove the main bearing cover and lower thrust gasket, remembering that the lower thrust gasket is only available at the No. 3 main bearing cover. In order to ensure that the bearings and bearing caps can be paired, they are placed in order when disassembling. Then lift the crankshaft and remove the upper bearing and upper thrust plate from the cylinder body. Note that when removing the crankshaft cover, remove the piston oil ring and crankshaft bearing, and remember the bearing position. When removing the crankshaft housing, it is also necessary to remember the position of the crankshaft bearing. After removal, clean and inspect parts such as crankshaft and bearings to see if they need to be replaced. When installing the crankshaft, proceed in sequence. First, the cleaned cylinder body is inverted on the work table and blown with compressed air. The oil passage on the cylinder body and crankshaft should be blown through and blown clean repeatedly. Then install the bearings on the crankshaft in sequence, noting that the upper bearing has oil holes and oil grooves. Align the bearing bump and the groove of the cylinder block, and install 5 upper bearings in sequence; Align the bearing bump and the groove of the main bearing cap and install the 5 lower bearings in sequence. Then install the crankshaft thrust gasket, first install two upper thrust plates in the cylinder block No. 3 journal position, the side with the oil groove facing out, put the crankshaft on the cylinder block, and then install two lower thrust plates on the bearing cover No. 3, the side with the oil groove facing out. Finally install the crankshaft main bearing cover, install 5 main bearing covers in sequence. Apply a thin layer of oil to the thread of the main bearing cover bolt and under the bolt head. Tighten the 10 main bearing cover bolts symmetrically and evenly from the middle to both sides with a torque of 60N.m. After installation, check and adjust to ensure that everything is normal.
Where's the Chase crankshaft position sensor?
Near the crankshaft of the engine
The common mounting location of the Chase crankshaft position sensor is usually located near the crankshaft of the engine. Specifically, it may be mounted on the front end of the crankshaft, on the flywheel, or inside the distributor. The exact location may vary from car to car.
The specific location of different models :
SAIC Maxus G10 : The crankshaft position sensor is generally located near the crankshaft of the engine.
SAIC Maxus T60 : The crankshaft position sensor is above the connection between the gearbox and the engine.
Other models : Crankshaft position sensors are typically mounted on the front end of the crankshaft, on the flywheel, or inside the distributor.
Ways to find the sensor :
Stop the car, tighten the handbrake, pull out the key, and disconnect the negative battery.
Locate the engine compartment and use the hydraulic lever to prop the engine compartment up.
Look for the crankshaft position sensor in the red area on the right side of the engine. If there is a distributor, the sensor may be installed inside the distributor.
