What is fuel tank cap limit lock?
A fuel cap limit lock is a safety device designed to ensure that the fuel cap is securely locked in place when closed, preventing accidental opening or unauthorized access. The lock usually consists of a refueling port, a fuel tank cap and an additional oil pipe, which is equipped with a wire mesh for added security. To install an anti-theft lock on the oil tank, drill a mounting hole for the lock body on the anti-theft door and follow the installation dimensions of the lock body shown in the figure. The internal structure of the fuel tank cover includes a threaded cover, which can be easily opened by counterclockwise rotation, and then clockwise rotation after refueling, hearing a "click" sound, indicating that it has been tightly locked. To open the limit lock on the fuel tank cap, follow these steps:

On the Control button panel, find the button labeled "Fuel Filler Door".

soften plastic shell : First, soak the plastic shell of the fuel tank cap in boiling water for a while to soften the plastic and facilitate subsequent pry operation.
pry off the plastic shell : Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry along the joint gap between the plastic shell and the metal part. After successfully pry off the plastic shell, you will see the inner lock core and the plastic lock core slot.
Pulling out the lock core and slot : Pull out the lock core and slot from the metal shell and keep their relative positions unchanged. Otherwise, subsequent installation may be difficult due to falling apart.
fixing position of the lock core : Insert the key into the lock core to fix the position of the lock core for convenience of subsequent operations. Then, you will find a wire clip at the bottom of the lock core slot, use the appropriate tool to pull the clip out, after which you can easily pull the lock core out of the lock core slot.
During the removal process, be careful to avoid damaging the fuel tank cap lock or other components. If you need to reinstall the fuel tank cap lock, you can do so in reverse order .
