cold car status :
In cold condition, the engine computer board control solenoid valve is energized, and the solenoid valve opens the oil passage to the pressure chamber. The oil enters the pressure chamber and, under the action of the oil pressure and the spring pressure, pushes the plunger to the left, blocking the oil passage to the piston cooling nozzle. At this time, there is no oil pressure in the oil channel of the piston cooling nozzle, and the piston will not be cooled.
Hot car status :
In the hot car condition, the solenoid valve is powered off, blocking the oil passage to the pressure chamber. The oil can only enter the piston cooling nozzle, because the oil pressure is greater than the spring pressure, push the plunger to the right, opening the oil channel to the piston cooling nozzle. At this time, the oil channel of the piston cooling nozzle is filled with oil, and the piston is cooled.
Volvo diesel :
The piston cooling nozzles of Volvo diesel engines reduce the piston temperature by spraying cooling oil. The oil pump sends the oil pump to the nozzle, and through the pressure adjustment mechanism inside the nozzle, the oil is sprayed to the piston surface in the form of mist, to ensure that the oil is evenly covered, forming a protective film, and improving the cooling efficiency.
