The disassembly process of the automobile air filter housing mainly includes the following steps :
Confirm the position of the air filter : First of all, you need to open the engine cover and confirm the position of the air filter. The air filter is usually located on the left side of the engine compartment, above the left front wheel. You can see a square plastic black box in which the filter element is installed .
Removing the housing : There are four clasps around the housing of the air filter, which are used to press the plastic housing above the air filter to keep the air inlet pipe sealed. The structure of these clips is relatively simple, just gently snap the two metal clips upward, you can lift the entire air filter cover. If the air filter is fixed with screws, you need to choose a suitable screwdriver to unscrew the screw on the air filter box to open the plastic housing .
Take out the filter cartridge : After opening the plastic case, you can see the air filter cartridge inside. Directly remove the filter element from the air filter, if you need to clean, you can use compressed air to blow from the inside out to remove the dust. At the same time, the dust in the air filter shell can also be removed. If there is no compressed air, beat the ground with the filter element to shake out dust, and then clean the air filter shell with a damp cloth .
Replace new filter element : If a new air filter element needs to be replaced, install the new air filter element into the air filter housing, and then fasten the edge clamp or screw the housing. Ensure that the filter element and the filter tank are well sealed to ensure the filtration effect, and ensure that the position of the shell and the filter element is aligned to ensure the normal work of the air filter element .
