AC PRESSURE SWITCH.
Introduction of pressure switch, the second key component of automobile air conditioning
Working status of the pressure switch
Pressure switches protect compressors and air conditioning systems by controlling the high and low pressure of the refrigeration system.
The pressure switch generally has two states: one is a high and low two-state pressure switch; the other is a high, medium and low three-state pressure switch.
Low pressure - If the refrigerant pressure is too low, or there is A problem with the A/C refrigerant system, the compressor clutch is disconnected.
High pressure - When the refrigerant pressure is too high, or there is A problem in the A/C refrigerant system, cut off the power.
Medium pressure - When a preset refrigerant pressure is reached, the condensing fan is operated or accelerated.
Automotive air conditioning pressure switch working principle
In-depth analysis of the key components in automotive air conditioning - pressure switch, which plays a vital role in automatic regulation.
The pressure switch installed in the refrigerant circulation pipeline monitors the system pressure to ensure that the protection circuit is activated when an exception occurs, preventing system damage. There are many kinds of pressure switches, such as high pressure switches, low pressure switches, double pressure switches and three pressure switches, each corresponding to different pressure ranges and protection mechanisms.
1. High voltage switch
When a car air conditioner encounters a blocked heat sink, fan failure, or excess refrigerant, the system pressure will rise. The high pressure switch is located in the high pressure line and is usually attached to the reservoir dryer or compressor circuit. When the pressure is too high, it will cut the clutch circuit or start the high gear circuit of the cooling fan to avoid a continuous rise in pressure, thereby protecting the system components.
2. Low voltage switch
For insufficient or leaking refrigerant, the low pressure switch plays a key role. It is installed in the high pressure pipeline, by detecting the refrigerant pressure to ensure that the compressor is operating in normal condition. When the pressure is below the standard, the low pressure switch will disconnect the electromagnetic clutch circuit to prevent the compressor from being damaged in the absence of oil.
3. Dual pressure switch
The new air conditioning system uses dual pressure switches and integrates high and low pressure functions to reduce the risk of leakage. When the pressure is normal, the metal diaphragm remains balanced, and when the pressure is reduced, the switch acts to control the compressor operation. This design both simplifies the system and improves reliability.
4. Three pressure switch
The three-pressure switch further increases the complexity and protection of the system by combining the functions of the dual pressure switch to monitor both high, low and medium pressure to ensure that the air conditioner is operating at its best.
In general, the pressure switch is the guardian of the car air conditioning system, through the precision control and protection mechanism to ensure the safe operation of the system.
