In addition to the front high beams, low beams, headlights, small lights, the rear running lights, brake lights, and a set of anti-fog lights in the inconspicuous place behind the car. Rear fog lights for vehicles refer to red signal lights with greater luminous intensity than tail lights, which are installed at the rear of the vehicle in order to make it easy for other road traffic participants behind the vehicle to find them in environments with low visibility such as fog, rain or dust.
It is installed at the front of the car at a position slightly lower than the headlight, and is used to illuminate the road when driving in rainy and foggy weather. The driver's line of sight is restricted due to low visibility in foggy weather. The light can increase the running distance, especially the strong light penetration of the yellow anti-fog light, which can improve the visibility of the driver and the surrounding traffic participants, so that oncoming vehicles and pedestrians can find each other at a distance.
Classification
The anti-fog lights are divided into front fog lights and rear fog lights. The front fog lights are generally bright yellow and the rear fog lights are red. The logo of the rear fog lamp is a little different from the front fog lamp. The light line of the front fog lamp logo is downward, and the rear fog lamp is parallel, which is generally located on the instrument console in the car. Due to the high brightness and strong penetration of the anti-fog light, it will not produce diffuse reflection due to fog, so the correct use can effectively prevent the occurrence of accidents. In foggy weather, the front and rear fog lights are usually used together.
Red and yellow are the most penetrating colors, but red means "no passage", so yellow is chosen. Yellow is the purest color, and a car's yellow fog lights can penetrate very thick fog and shoot far away. And due to the backscattering relationship, the driver of the rear car turns on the headlights, which increases the background intensity and makes the image of the car in front more blurred.

The function of fog lights is to let other vehicles see the vehicle when the visibility is greatly affected by the weather in fog or rain, so the light source of fog lights needs to have strong penetration. General vehicles use halogen fog lamps, and LED fog lamps are more advanced than halogen fog lamps.
The installation position of fog lights can only be below the bumper and the position where the body is closest to the ground to ensure the function of the fog lights. If the installation position is high, the lights cannot penetrate the rain and fog to illuminate the ground at all (the fog is generally below 1 meter. relatively thin), which is easy to cause danger.
Since the fog light switch is generally divided into three gears, gear 0 is closed, the first gear controls the front fog lights, and the second gear controls the rear fog lights. The front fog lights work when the first gear is opened, and the front and rear fog lamps work together when the second gear is opened. Therefore, when turning on the fog lights, it is recommended to know which gear the switch is in, so as to facilitate yourself without affecting others and ensure driving safety. [1]
How to operate
1. Press the button to turn on the fog lights. Some vehicles turn on the front and rear fog lights by pressing buttons, that is, there are buttons marked with fog lights near the instrument panel. After turning on the lights, press the front fog lights to turn on the front fog lights; press the rear fog lights. to turn on the fog lights at the rear of the vehicle. Figure 1.
2. Turn on the fog lights. In some vehicles, the light joystick is installed under the steering wheel or under the left-hand air conditioner to turn on the fog lights, which are turned on by rotating. As shown in Figure 2, when the button marked with the fog light signal in the middle is turned to the ON position, the front fog lights are turned on, and then the button is turned down to the position of the rear fog lights, that is, the front and rear fog lights are turned on at the same time. Rotate under the steering wheel to turn on the fog lights.
