The brake cylinder is an indispensable chassis brake part of the braking system. Its main function is to push the brake pads, and the brake pads rub against the brake drum. Slow down and stop the vehicle. After the brake is stepped on, the master cylinder generates thrust to press the hydraulic oil to the sub-pump, and the piston inside the sub-pump is moved by the hydraulic pressure to push the brake pads.
The hydraulic brake is composed of the brake master cylinder and the brake oil storage tank. They were connected to the brake pedal at one end and the brake hose at the other. Brake oil is stored in the brake master cylinder, and has an oil outlet and an oil inlet.
Car brakes are divided into air brakes and hydraulic brakes.

Brake Cylinder
1. The air brake is composed of an air compressor (commonly known as an air pump), at least two air reservoirs, a brake master cylinder, a quick release valve for the front wheel, and a relay valve for the rear wheel. There are four brake cylinders, four adjusters, four cams, eight brake shoes and four brake hubs.

2. The oil brake is composed of the brake master cylinder (hydraulic brake pump) and the brake oil storage tank.
Heavy trucks use air brakes, and ordinary cars use oil brakes, so the brake master cylinder and brake cylinder are both hydraulic brake pumps. The brake cylinder (hydraulic brake pump) is an indispensable part of the braking system. When you step on the brake pad during braking, the brake master cylinder will send the brake oil through the pipeline to each brake cylinder. The brake cylinder has a connecting rod that controls the brake shoes or pads. When braking, the brake oil in the brake oil pipe pushes the connecting rod on the brake cylinder, so that the brake shoe tightens the flange on the wheel to stop the wheel. The technical requirements of the brake wheel cylinder of the car are very high, because it directly affects human life.

When the brake is applied, the oil outlet opens and the oil inlet closes. Under the pressure of the piston of the pump body, the brake oil pipe is squeezed out of the oil pipe to flow to each brake cylinder to perform the braking function. When releasing the brake pads. The oil outlet in the brake master cylinder will be closed, and the oil inlet will be opened, so that the brake oil will return from each brake cylinder to the brake master cylinder, returning to the original state.

Driven by the air pump through the engine, the air is compressed into high-pressure gas and stored in the air storage cylinder. One of the air reservoirs can be connected to the brake master cylinder through a pipeline. The brake master cylinder is divided into upper and lower air chambers, the upper air chamber controls the rear wheel, and the lower air chamber controls the front wheel. When the driver steps on the brake pedal, the upper air is first opened, and the high-pressure gas of the air tank is transmitted to the relay valve, and the control piston of the relay valve is pushed out. At this time, the gas of the other air tank can pass through the relay valve and the two The rear brake cylinder is on. The push rod of the brake wheel cylinder is pushed forward, and the cam is rotated by an angle through the adjustment back. The cam is eccentric. At the same time, the brake shoe is stretched and the brake drum is rubbed to achieve the effect of braking.
When the upper chamber of the brake master cylinder is opened, the lower chamber is also opened, and the high-pressure gas enters the quick release valve, which is then distributed to the brake cylinders of the two front wheels. The same goes for the rear wheels.
When the driver releases the brake pedal, the upper and lower air chambers are closed, and the pistons of the quick-in valve of the front wheel and the relay valve of the rear wheel are returned under the action of the spring. The front and rear brake cylinders are connected with the atmosphere of the air chamber, the push rod returns to the position, and the braking ends.
Generally, the rear wheels are braked first and the front wheels later, which is beneficial for the driver to control the direction.
