What is the function of the engine support?
Commonly used support modes are three point support and four point support. The front support of the three-point brace is supported on the frame through the crankcase and the rear support is supported on the frame through the gearbox. Four-point support means that the front support is supported on the frame through the crankcase, and the rear support is supported on the frame through the flywheel housing.
The powertrain of most existing cars generally adopts the layout of front drive horizontal three-point suspension. The engine bracket is the bridge that connects the engine to the frame. The existing engine mounts, including the bow, cantilever and base, are heavy and do not meet the purpose of the existing lightweight. At the same time, the engine, the engine support and the frame are rigidly connected, and the bumps generated during the driving of the car are easy to be transmitted to the engine, and the noise is large.
