front fog light frame
use
The function of the fog lamp is to let other vehicles see the car when the visibility is greatly affected by the weather in foggy or rainy days, so the light source of the fog lamp needs to have strong penetration. General vehicles use halogen fog lights, and LED fog lights are more advanced than halogen fog lights.
The installation position of the fog lamp can only be below the bumper and the position closest to the ground of the car body to ensure the function of the fog lamp. If the installation position is too high, the light cannot penetrate the rain and fog to illuminate the ground at all (the fog is generally below 1 meter. Relatively thin), easy to cause danger.
Because the fog light switch is generally divided into three gears, the 0 gear is off, the first gear controls the front fog lights, and the second gear controls the rear fog lights. The front fog lights work when the first gear is turned on, and the front and rear fog lights work together when the second gear is turned on. Therefore, when turning on the fog lights, it is recommended to know which gear the switch is in, so as to facilitate yourself without affecting others, and ensure driving safety.
operation method
1. Press the button to turn on the fog lights. Some vehicles turn on the front and rear fog lamps by pressing the button, that is, there is a button marked with fog lamp near the instrument panel. After turning on the light, press the front fog lamp to light up the front fog lamp; press the rear fog lamp to turn on the rear fog lamps. Figure 1.
2. Rotate to turn on the fog lights. Some vehicle lighting joysticks are equipped with fog lights under the steering wheel or under the air conditioner on the left hand side, which are turned on by rotation. As shown in Figure 2, when the button marked with the fog light signal in the middle is turned to the ON position, the front fog lights will be turned on, and then the button will be turned down to the position of the rear fog lights, that is, the front and rear fog lights will be turned on at the same time. Turn on the fog lights under the steering wheel.
maintenance method
When driving without fog at night in the city, do not use fog lamps. The front fog lamps have no hood, which will make the lights of the car dazzling and affect driving safety. Some drivers not only use the front fog lights, but also turn on the rear fog lights together. Because the power of the rear fog light bulb is relatively large, it will cause dazzling light to the driver behind, which will easily cause eye fatigue and affect driving safety.
Whether it is the front fog lamp or the rear fog lamp, as long as it is not on, it means that the bulb has burned out and must be replaced. But if it is not completely broken, but the brightness is reduced, and the lights are red and dim, you must not take it lightly, because this may be a precursor to failure, and the reduced lighting ability is also a major hidden danger to safe driving.
There are several reasons for the decrease in brightness. The most common is that there is dirt on the astigmatism glass or reflector of the lamp. At this time, all you need to do is to clean the dirt with flannelette or lens paper. Another reason is that the charging capacity of the battery is reduced, and the brightness is not enough due to insufficient power. In this case, a new battery needs to be replaced. Another possibility is that the line is aging or the wire is too thin, causing the resistance to increase and thus affecting the power supply. This situation not only affects the work of the bulb, but even causes the line to overheat and cause a fire.
replace fog lights
1. Unscrew the screw and remove the bulb.
2. Unscrew the four screws and take off the cover.
3. Remove the lamp socket spring.
4. Change the halogen bulb.
5. Install the lamp holder spring.
6. Install four screws and put on the cover.
7. Tighten the screws.
8. Adjust the screw to the light.
circuit installation
1. Only when the position light (small light) is on, the rear fog light can be turned on.
2. The rear fog lights should be turned off independently.
3. The rear fog lights can work continuously until the position lights are turned off.
4. The front and rear fog lamps can be connected in parallel to share the front fog lamp switch. At this time, the capacity of the fog lamp fuse should be increased, but the added value should not exceed 5A.
5. For cars without front fog lamps, the rear fog lamps should be connected in parallel to the position lamps, and a switch for the rear fog lamps should be connected in series with a fuse tube of 3 to 5A.
6. It is recommended to configure the rear fog lamp to turn on the indicator.
7. The rear fog lamp power line drawn from the rear fog lamp switch in the cab is routed along the original vehicle bus harness to the installation position of the rear fog lamp at the rear of the car, and is reliably connected to the rear fog lamp through a special automobile connector. A low-voltage wire for automobiles with a wire diameter of ≥0.8mm should be selected, and the entire length of the wire should be covered with a polyvinyl chloride tube (plastic hose) with a diameter of 4-5mm for protection.
