The common damages of the axle shaft include bending, twisting, fracture, spline wear and so on. The half shaft shall be inspected by magnetic flaw detector or oil immersion percussion method. If there is any crack, it shall be replaced. The radial circular runout of the unmachined surface in the middle of the half shaft shall not be greater than 115 mm; The radial circular runout of the outer cylindrical surface of the spline shall not be greater than 0 25mm;  The circular runout of the inner end face of the axle shaft flange shall not be greater than 0 15 mm。 If the radial circular runout exceeds the limit, cold pressing correction shall be carried out; If the circular runout of the end face exceeds the limit, it can be corrected by turning the end face.
